What—

A batik textile dyed in six different session to create as illusion of overlapping shapes based on varying blue tones.

Why—

Having had experience with wax-resist dyeing at a young age, I wanted to revisit experimenting with batik methods. This time, however, with a more design oriented lens.

How—

With this piece I wanted to create a more abstract textile pattern — picking bold colors and large shapes inspired by shadows from my hands.
